Making a list and checking it twice? It is that time of year! Midnight Merriment is returning to downtown Concord on Friday, December 6 from 5:00 pm until Midnight! Shop until you drop while enjoying the lights and sounds of the holidays and supporting local businesses.

PARADE OF LIGHTS IS FULL! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST! 

NEW THIS YEAR! Get ready to shine! Join us for the Parade of Lights as we kick off Concord’s beloved Midnight Merriment event. This dazzling procession will illuminate Main Street with festive cheer and a celebration of all holidays. From 5:30-6:00 pm starting in front of the Hotel Concord and ending in front of the State House.

For best visibility, please watch between the Hotel Concord and the State House.

Downtown Business Promotions:

Blossom Yoga: Holiday Market opens in the studio at 5 pm. This once a year event will host 9 Guest vendors and healers, including 27 Teas, just in time to make sure your cabinets are ready for guests this holiday season or to give tea as holiday gifts. 

Firefly Crystal & Tarot: Join contralto Melissa Elsman for Melodies of Joy: Holiday and Timeless Classics, a festive program featuring a delightful selection of holiday favorites and classic songs. This event promises to uplift and inspire, capturing the joy of the season through the magic of live music. Perfect for audiences of all ages! 7-8 pm. Also offering 30% off of $75 or more, 30% off of all readings, and free door buster gifts to all that visit (no purchase required, while supplies last). 

Gibson's Bookstore: Open until midnight with increasing discounts throughout the night, starting at 5% off from 5pm - 8pm, then increasing an additional 5% every hour, culminating in a 25% discount from 11pm - midnight.

Granite State Candy Shoppe: Free peanut butter fdge sampler with purchae of $40 or more!

League of NH Craftsmen: Enjoy the Crafting Joy: The Art of Optimism exhibition featuring inspiring work by League Juried Members, on display through January 15th. This will also be your last chance to view the Craft Apprentice Program: Capstone Exhibition, a collaboration between the League of NH Craftsmen and the Maine Crafts Association. Both exhibitions will be open from 5:00 - 9:00pm during Midnight Merriment.

Teatotaller: Open until 10 pm!

Teenie Wienies Food Truck: On Capitol St from 5 pm til midnight!

Twelve 31 Cafe: Twelve 31 Cafe & Catering, located on Main Street directly across from The State House, will be sweetening up your shopping with a FREE Homemade Gingerbread Cookie, while they last. The Cafe's full menu will also be available. 

Wine on Main: 5% off wine & gifts from 7 to 10 pm. 10% off wine & gifts from 10-11:45 pm.

Viking House: Sweaters & jackets 10% off. Puzzles are buy 3 get 1 FREE. 20% off all boxed holiday cards!


Free Activities:

S'mores at Bicentennial Sq.: 5 pm until supplies run out. Supplied by the Concord Food Co-op, Granite State Candy Shoppe, & Hannaford.

FREE Hot Cocoa: 500 free hot cocoas from 5 pm until supplies run out at Brother's Cortado (located in Bicentennial Square). Sponsored by Breezeline.

Photos with Santa: 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Meet Santa by the tree on City Plaza after the parade to take photos with him and Mrs. Claus!

Winter Giftopolis: Join the Concord Arts Market in the Eagle Sq. Atrium from 5 - 11 pm to shop handmade for the holidays!

Make Your Own Ornament: 5:00 - 9:00 pm in the Classroom at DIY Craft and Thrift (46 N Main St, Concord). Hosted by Concord Makerspace. A great family event for all ages and abilities! Blank wood ornament shapes and all the fixings will be provided for you to paint and decorate to your heart's content. Instructions and materials also provided for a more advanced paper ornament will be available. 

Make-and-Take Clay Ornaments: 5:00 - 9:00 pm at the League of NH Craftsmen Headquarters (49 South Main Street). All ages are invited to make a clay holiday ornament with Juried Member, Molly Harper.



Holiday Music:

  • Holiday music will be piped through the downtown from 6-10 pm. Sponsored by downtown businesses.
  • The Wandering Souls band at Bicentennial Sq. from 5-8 pm.
  • CHS Chamber Singers in Bicentennial Sq. from 6-7 pm and strolling caroling.
  • Girl Scouts Carolers in Capital Plaza from 6-8 pm.
  • Concord Chorale strolling carolers from 5:30-7:30 pm.
  • RB Productions in front of Pompanoosuc Mills from 6-8 pm with raffle baskets, free hot chocolate, and performers from their upcoming production of Annie.
