Join Riverbend for an online course in Youth Mental Health First Aid, to learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of mental health challenges
Riverbend Community Mental Health clinicians are providing skills-based training in Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA). This blended format course consists of two hours of self-paced content followed by 4.5 hours of instructor-led training. Participants who complete the course will receive their Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification, good for three years.
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school and camp staff, peers, neighbors and health and human service professionals how to identify, understand and respond to an adolescent (ages 12-18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.
NOTE: The course is open to any interested members of the public, and costs $111.
